The difficulty level of mining on the Bitcoin network has reached another record level. The difficulty level increased by 10.38% to 11.89 trillion on the 14th of September. The previous level was 10.77 trillion and the average block time between the two difficulty levels was 9 minutes and 4 seconds. The difficulty level increase is unsurprising given the recent increases in hash rate. The hash rate has certainly been impacted by new models of ASIC mining hardware being released this year with higher hash rate capabilities.
