Bitcoin Mining Revenue Drops As Transaction Fees Decrease 44%

The revenue Bitcoin miners are earning has decreased 4% over the past seven days according to data compiled by CoinMetrics. The drop in revenue is attributable to a drop in the price of bitcoin as well as a reduction in transaction fees paid by users. Transactions fees paid by users of the Bitcoin network declined 44% over the past seven days. Transaction fees had recently hit 17-month highs at the start of July.
