Press Release: MicroBT’s WhatsMiner M20 Release Conference Held in Chengdu

MicroBT’s M20 Release Conference was held in Chengdu on May 19th. More than 500 people came from all over the world to hear Dr. Yang Zuoxing, the founder and CEO of MicroBT, announce the launch of the new WhatsMiner M20 series.

Dr. Yang introduced 5 new machines, which are planned to start shipping by the end of August 2019. Live testing of the M20s at the conference showed performance of 69.6TH/S and 48.2W/T.

In the future, Dr. Yang expects more mining machines to use liquid cooling. MicroBT will continue to research and develop faster returning mining machines with greater power savings.

Collaboration with Samsung

The Sales Director of MicroBT, Mr. Zhang Wencheng, said MicroBT is seeking broader forms of cooperation and partnerships for mining machine sales, custody services, and brand co-construction activities.

Mr. Charles, general manager of Samsung Foundry China District, said that Samsung Foundry will be working hand in hand with MicroBT. He also explained the roadmap for Samsung’s 3nm and 5nm chips, and the next generation of Samsung’s Bitcoin chips.

Rebranding


Mr. Wang Xin, the Marketing Manager of MicroBT, announced MicroBT’s new official website, prompting users to pay attention to distinguishing fake websites. He also announced WhatsMiner’s new logo, which is intended to express the spirit of positivity, pursuing the extreme, and achieving technological leaps. The WhatsMiner M20 series will use the new logo.
